Walking the Camino de Santiago
2nd December 2011 by Multimat
"I recently
completed the Camino de Santiago - I did it in two parts the first 2 years
ago when I
started in St Jean De Pied de Port in the France and walking to Leon it took 19
days and it was
the month of November, changeable weather.
I took two Multimat products the Superlite Mat and the Folding Sit Mat both were extremely important on the trip. The Superlite Mat was so light I did not notice carrying it and weight was all important and the sit mat was so good to use when we stopped along the way for a drink and a bite.
I used the Superlite Mat when staying in the hostels the level of comfort was varied with some bunks too hard, some too soft and the Multimat made it just right.
I walked the first 4 days and realized I was carrying too much so took anything out that was not essential as I said light weight was all important but as there was little or no weight in the Superlite mat and the Sit Mat they had to stay.
I do take them with me on day trips and I often carry the sit mat in the back of my Laptop bag which also gives added protection and from time to time use it in airports and and ferry terminals.

Great gear thank you!"
